JA DALLAS
Inspiring Tomorrows
JA Dallas' volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students in our community to dream big and reach their potential.
Educators
Quality volunteers from the community come into your classroom to deliver proven, hands-on programming that inspires students to understand the opportunities provided by education.
FACTS

• 49% of U.S. employers recognize that talent shortages impact their ability to serve clients and customers.

Volunteers
By volunteering for JA through your organization, you can be in the classroom during work hours and you can share your experience and inspire young people to pursue their dreams.

YOUR SUPPORT
Why Junior Achievement?
JA helps students realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. JA's unique, volunteer delivered programs, show them all of the possibilities that lay before them. They realize they can choose different paths; College? A specific trade? Start their own business? Through your participation as an organization or as an individual, you can impact change in your community.
The JA partnership has been awesome. I always look forward to volunteering, and it’s inspiring to see the growth over the course of the school year of the students involved in the program.

This was a great experience. I’m glad we have the opportunity to expose them to the financial skills they will need as an adult. All too often, you hear ‘I wish they taught me how to budget in school’, and I am very happy to be part of that with this generation.

I thought JA BizTown was a really fun day because it was easy and simple. I also learned how to sell and get the right prices. In conclusion, today was a really awesome day!

JA BizTown is an amazing simulation that all students should experience. Today's field trip has gone so smoothly and it has been great to see all the students independent citizens of this little town! Great job JA!

My JA experience was very great. The information I learned today can definitely help me in the future. I learned that the little stuff that you buy can have an effect on the money I have. Also I learned that it's very important to make budgets for your money and how you spend it.

Being a JA hero has inspired me by allowing myself to open up and focus more more on educating younger children on what I know, showing a them a good roll model and also answering any questions that they may face on any type of subject.
Eric
12th grade student
My JA volunteer, Mark, from Nokia, taught me about money! How to earn, save, spend and donate it. I also learned how to be an accountant. I had so much fun! We learned that entrepreneurs make businesses to meet the needs and wants of citizens.

I think this is a great opportunity for kids to come and learn these life lessons. I wish I had this same opportunity when I was their age. I had to learn these skills on my own. Great workshop, well organized, and well planned. Thanks for the opportunity to attend.

This is a phenomenal learning experience for our students. Applying what they have learned about financial literacy and seeing real-world real-time consequences of their business decisions was a big eye-opener for them. What a great, authentic experience for them!
